Talin Abadian, PhD
Talin is a playwright, scholar and educator currently teaching at UC Irvine and California State University, Northridge. She holds a PhD in Drama and Theatre from the University of California, Irvine. Her scholarly research centers around performance and climate change, climate activism and environmental discourses that particularly center plastics not only pollutants but active agents that define how we exist in the world as humans. Talin is also deeply invested in new modes of creative writing and facilitating embodied writing practices as a response to the age of AI. Her scholarly work has been published in Modern Drama, Performance Research alongside a number of translations including a playwrighting textbook.
