

Talin Abadian
Talin is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Drama at the University of California, Irvine. She holds a Master’s Degree in Theatre Studies from the University of California, Northridge, and has an MA from Tehran University of Arts in Drama. Her research centers around performance and climate change and climate activism that particularly look at plastics as not only pollutants but active agents that define how we exist in the world as humans. Talin is a playwright, dramaturg, and an avid translator and has published on theatre in Iranian newspapers and journals. She has also published translations of plays, a playwrighting textbook, and a collection of essays in Iran. Her main dramaturgical focus is on new play development and assisting and supporting writers.
